In Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, haitians are fleeing the capital. The reason why they are fleeing its because they do not get the help they want. On January 12, 2010, Haiti suffered a terrible earthquake and everything was destroyed. Their government promised to help nearly a half-million more move from squalid camps and cleaner tent cities. About 200,000 haitians have crammed into buses and even set out on foot to escape the ruined capital. For the haitians who stayed, foreign engineers have started leveling the land and supposedly temporary, it will be meant to house 400.000 people. They are going to make new camps that will have atleast some adequate facilities.
I think this is very sad because the haitians lost everything they had. Maybe the people wo are leaving are looking for a new beginning. I think that the people who are fleeing are not going to get help like the ones who stayed. I just hope they help every haitian because they really need it.
